Overview
Banma ERP (斑马ERP) is a multi-platform SaaS from Beijing Banma Yijing Technology for China-based cross-border sellers. The about page dates product launch to January 2019; company registration is May 2019. In 2026 the homepage still leads with Rakuten, Yahoo Japan, Qoo10, Wowma, Amazon.jp, and Shopify / Shoplazza-style independent sites — not another Amazon ads desk. Older catalog copy tagged it as Marketing; the live product is listing, orders, and warehouse.
The problem is Japan-plus-DTC split. The same SPU on Rakuten, Yahoo, and a Shopify store otherwise means three titles, three stock ledgers, and three mail templates. Banma’s bet is an SPU+SKU catalog, scrape-and-translate, and buy-to-order purchasing, billed by listing-or-order volume so a small team can run that chain.
It is a Chinese product with Chinese support. Official figures — 40-plus marketplaces, 10-plus site builders, 10,000-plus sellers — are vendor claims. Public job posts and review sites describe a small company; do not expect Mabang- or Lingxing-scale implementation crews. The site publishes a warning about fake “Banma Yijing” shop-opening scams — only use banmaerp.com.
Next step: start the 7-day trial (about 20 listing/order credits), connect one Japan store and one independent site, and run scrape → list → buy-to-order → label before buying an annual pack.
Core features and advantages
SPU+SKU catalog and scrape listing
The catalog holds suppliers, purchase URLs, and every SKU under an SPU, then publishes to multiple stores. Listing paths include scrape, catalog push, store copy, and direct create, plus bulk translate, image translate, white-background, watermark removal, and price conversion. Japan bundle listings (teapot plus cups) have a dedicated combo flow that deducts child SKUs.
That fits Rakuten/Yahoo sellers who list slowly with many variants. Amazon listing docs mention variation images and tax-exclusive price, but do not expect Lingxing-grade ads. Translate and image credits are gifts inside the pack; overage is an add-on.
Buy-to-order and shipping labels
Buy-to-order (place a 1688 PO after the customer order) is the usual path for small DTC and Japan shops that will not hold stock. Orders sell auto-review, warehouse split, carrier suggest, bulk labels, and tracking push. Changelogs have mentioned checking local and overseas stock before print so you do not sell air.
Concrete use: a Shopify shop doing tens of orders a day holds bestsellers and buy-to-orders the long tail; Rakuten orders hit the same queue for a Japan-warehouse label. If you have no 1688 account and everything sits in FBA, most of this module stays idle.
Japan mail, inbox, and site copy
The homepage treats Rakuten/Yahoo mail (order thanks, ship notice, manual “other”) and auto review-request as Japan-market features. Independent-site copy stresses store move, Shopify multi-warehouse stock, and site clone. Extra tools include FBA claims, Shopee chat, and ads rules — open each in the trial; this is not a full ads ERP.
Supported platforms
The 2026 “Japan” block names Rakuten, Yahoo, Qoo10, Amazon.jp, Wowma, and NETSEA. Listing and partner pages also mention Amazon, Shopify, WooCommerce, Shoplazza, AllValue, Shopee, AliExpress, Wish, Temu, SHEIN, TikTok Shop, Walmart, and Coupang. News posts have covered Rakuten Taiwan.
Connector depth is uneven. Rakuten / Yahoo / independent sites are the story; Temu and TikTok were added later. AliExpress sellers must buy the official marketplace service before authorize. Open API starts at the Wisdom tier. Print one label on each new connector before you migrate.
Who it's for
- Small Japan-market sellers running Rakuten plus Yahoo (optionally Amazon.jp) who need one listing and mail desk.
- Independent-site teams on Shopify / Shoplazza who want store copy and buy-to-order.
- Listing starters: trial and low volume packs are sized to prove the flow.
- Skip it if Amazon ads and FBA math are the daily job (Lingxing ERP or SellFox ERP); if a packing warehouse and 170-site breadth matter (Mabang ERP); or if you have no Chinese-speaking desk.
Concrete use case: before listing 30 Rakuten bundles, build child SKUs in the catalog, publish the combo, place two test orders, and confirm stock deducts by piece before you turn on mail templates.
Pricing and value
The membership page (erp.banmaerp.com/fee/package/membership, checked 2026-09-06) sells order-or-listing volume. Store count is advertised as unlimited:
- Trial: 7 days, 20 credits, 500MB, free.
- Startup: ¥40/month, 100 credits.
- Startup Plus: ¥180/month, 600 credits.
- Business SE2: ¥1,800/year, 8,000 credits.
- Business SE5: ¥5,000/year, 30,000 credits.
- Business: ¥10,000/year, 80,000 credits.
- Wisdom: ¥20,000/year, 200,000 credits, open API.
- Elite: ¥30,000/year, 350,000 credits.
- Large: ¥50,000/year, 750,000 credits.
Translate characters, mail pieces, tracking hits, image jobs, and source monitors are bundled gifts; buy add-ons when they run out. Official online training is listed at ¥200/hour. Low tiers include almost no gifts — Startup is not “full product, forever free.” Size the annual pack against real listings plus orders; overage stops the account.
Community feedback
Homepage quotes cluster on independent-site moves and Japan shops doing 1,000-plus orders a day. 雨果网 has a feature write-up, not a long independent review. Zhihu and English Reddit have almost no first-hand Banma threads. Public review sites show little or no scoring. Weak community signal does not mean the product is dead; it means you must prove Rakuten listing and Shopify labels yourself.
Fake “Banma Yijing” shop-opening scams have an official notice. Register only on banmaerp.com, not via a Douyin DM that claims to be official.
Competitive positioning
Against Lingxing ERP and SellFox ERP: those are Amazon profit and ads desks; Banma is Rakuten / Yahoo / DTC listing and fulfillment. Against Mabang ERP: Mabang is deeper on warehouse and platform count, heavier to implement; Banma is lighter, with Japan and buy-to-order further forward. Do not use Banma to beat Lingxing on ACOS.
Alternatives
- Lingxing ERP: default Amazon FBA, ads, and SKU-profit comparison.
- Mabang ERP: better default for multi-platform warehouses and long supply chains.
- SellFox ERP: when the same mid-size Amazon team wants a free profit band.
Limitations
Japan and independent sites are deep; Amazon ads are not. Credits count listings or orders, so heavy launch weeks burn the pack. Low tiers barely include translate and mail. Independent reviews are scarce; the trial has to surface bugs. UI and support are Chinese. User counts are unaudited. API needs a higher tier.
Verdict
China-based Rakuten/Yahoo or Shopify sellers who need buy-to-order should shortlist Banma: prove one live fulfillment path on the 7-day trial, then buy the annual pack. Pure Amazon ads teams and heavy WMS shops should look elsewhere.
Next step: open banmaerp.com, start the trial, authorize one Japan store and one independent site, run scrape and labels, then pick a membership row.
