Overview
The tool sellers call the “FBA Calculator” is Amazon’s Revenue Calculator inside Seller Central. It estimates referral fees, FBA fulfillment, storage, and other program fees so you can compare FBA vs FBM (and a third program when Amazon offers one) before you send a shipment. It is first-party and free with a selling account. It is not Keepa’s fbaFees field, and it is not your P&L.
The official URL is a Seller Central deep link. On this check, https://sellercentral.amazon.com/hz/fba/profitabilitycalculator/index returned a 200; other paths such as /fba/revenuecalculator sent an unauthenticated browser to sign-in. Plan on logging into the Amazon store you actually sell in. Help text applies per country (the US article is explicit). Fees are estimates and can change; US FBA fulfillment rose on 15 January 2026.
Amazon’s help lists what the calculator includes (referral, FBA fulfillment including special handling, low-inventory-level fees, inbound placement, monthly and long-term storage, variable closing, removal, disposal, liquidation, coupons, import fee deposit, digital services) and what it does not (monthly Professional/Individual subscription, return processing, unplanned services, refund administration, most taxes/VAT unless stated, and your ads). You still type COGS, inbound freight to Amazon, and prep.
Core features and advantages
Single-ASIN FBA vs FBM estimate
Search an existing catalog ASIN or Define product with dimensions and category for something not listed yet. Featured Offer can pre-fill price. You enter cost of goods, seller-fulfilled shipping, and inbound cost to Amazon. The output is estimated fees and net proceeds per unit and, if you enter volume, for a quantity. Use this before a first PO: a $4 FBA pick-and-pack gap on a $12 widget is the whole margin.
2026 fee preview and a third program
When Amazon announces rate changes, the Select program to compare menu can show current vs upcoming rates for the same program. That is how you model the January 2026 US FBA table instead of a blog’s screenshot. A third fulfillment program (where offered) sits beside FBA and FBM. Inbound placement options, location count, and inbound regions feed US placement-fee estimates.
Bulk estimate and downloads
Logged-in sellers can estimate Your products, Search Amazon Catalog, or upload New Products via a template, then download a report. This is the honest way to re-price a catalog after a fee change—not a third-party “FBA calculator” Google result that may still use last year’s size tiers.
Supported platforms
Amazon Seller Central only, per marketplace. Switch country in the tool for that store’s fee preview. It does not price Shopify, eBay, or Walmart. Multi-Channel Fulfillment has separate fee pages. There is no standalone consumer website; the product lives behind Amazon’s seller host.
Who it's for
- Anyone sending FBA — run it before the first inbound and after every public fee update.
- FBM sellers comparing whether FBA’s pick fee is cheaper than their own last-mile.
- Skip it if you do not sell on Amazon. Skip third-party clones if you can log into Seller Central.
Concrete use case: a 200-unit FBA send on a standard-size ASIN. Open the Revenue Calculator in the US store, confirm size tier and fulfillment fee, add COGS + freight to Amazon + prep, and include a month of storage. If net per unit after Amazon fees is under your target before ads, do not ship. Then glance at Keepa’s fee field as a sanity check, not as the quote.
Pricing and value
Free for sellers. You still pay Amazon’s selling plan (Individual $0.99 per item or Professional $39.99/month on US sell.amazon.com as of the Amazon catalog entry’s 2026-09-06 check) outside this tool—the calculator help says monthly subscription fees are not included in the estimate. There is no Pro SKU for the calculator itself.
Value is avoiding a shipment that cannot clear referral + FBA + storage. The cost of skipping it is using a blog widget with stale 2025 rates.
Community feedback
Seller forums and FBA subs treat the official calculator as mandatory and warn that estimates ≠ settlement. Recurring gaps people add by hand: PPC, returns, aged-inventory surcharges, and inbound from China. Third-party “FBA calculator 2026” pages exist because the official one sits behind login; use them only as scratch pads. Support is Seller Central help and seller forums, not a calculator vendor.
Competitive positioning
This is Amazon’s fee model. Keepa exposes an fbaFees estimate for screening, not invoicing. Helium 10 / Jungle Scout profit tools wrap Amazon fees plus their own sales estimates. Spreadsheets are fine if you paste this calculator’s output, not a guess. Google Trends does not belong in a fee stack.
Alternatives
- Keepa — historical price/BSR plus a first-pass FBA fee field; still re-check here.
- Amazon — Seller Central, selling plans, and the live fee tables the calculator reads.
Limitations
Login wall on many URLs. Estimates, not invoices. Omits ads, returns, subscription, most tax/VAT. Size-tier mistakes in the catalog flow into the wrong fulfillment fee (use Amazon’s re-measurement tools if billed wrong). Country-specific; do not use the US calculator for JP/EU rates. Bulk needs a seller account. Does not tell you whether the ASIN will sell.
Verdict
If you use FBA, this is the fee source of truth before you buy inventory. Log into the correct marketplace, enter real COGS and inbound, and compare FBA vs FBM on current and upcoming rates. Pair with Keepa for history, not instead of this page.
Next step: sign in to Seller Central, search Revenue Calculator, and run one live ASIN with your actual costs.
