Overview

Qupital (Chinese name 桥彼道 / 橋彼道有限公司) is a Hong Kong money lender for cross-border marketplace sellers. The job is working capital against shop performance: connect Amazon or another supported platform with an API token, pass a data audit, and draw a bullet or instalment loan in USD or HKD. Official how-it-works copy (rechecked 2026-09-06) still requires combined monthly revenue of at least US$50,000, an ecommerce API token, and a Hong Kong-registered entity. It is not a collection wallet and not a consumer BNPL app.

The company was founded in Hong Kong in March 2016 by Andy Chan and Winston Wong. Seed funding in 2017 was led by the Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund and MindWorks Ventures; later rounds included CreditEase (Series A) and a 2021 Series B. The live footer lists Money Lender Licence No. 378/2026 and the standard Hong Kong warning: repay your loans, do not pay intermediaries.

Homepage counters say US$4B+ funded volumes, 10K+ connected shops, and US$5B+ merchant GMV. An older “About” paragraph still says 500+ clients and US$500M funded. Treat all of those as company figures, and treat the older sentence as stale copy sitting next to newer headlines.

Core features and advantages

Marketplace-data credit

Sellers authorise an official platform token (Seller ID plus API). Qupital’s FAQ calls this a method recognised by open-API marketplaces. Credit is scored on live operations rather than a factory mortgage. If performance later disappoints, the lender can still ask for a review or a cash-flow / inventory programme — that is in the FAQ, not a promise of unlimited top-ups.

Bullet and instalment loans

The calculator on how-it-works offers two structures: a bullet loan (lump sum at maturity) and an instalment loan (higher limit, repaid in 13 instalments). Currency is USD or HKD. Official “Our Offer” copy says the credit assessment completes within three working days; how-it-works says funding can follow within 24 hours after that process. Connect more shops and the calculator may show a higher limit — still an estimate, not a commitment.

Investor platform and securitisation

Qupital also runs an investor side for Hong Kong Professional Investors, with marketing language of about 8–13% investor APR on 30–364 day loans. In November 2021 it announced an ecommerce securitisation facility with Citi. That capital-markets story matters to whether the book can keep lending; it is not a seller dashboard feature.

Supported platforms

Official FAQ: Amazon, eBay, Shopee, Lazada, Wish and Shopify, “always working to expand.” Partner history includes LianLian Global, PingPong, Airwallex, Fuiou Pay, Cainiao, and Alibaba.com invoice finance. HKTDC’s supplier card (updated 27 March 2026) still lists Hong Kong businesses only, 6+ months of platform history, and sellers on Amazon / eBay / Lazada as well as Tmall, JD, Kaola and Xiaohongshu. Current connectors are the application page, not a 2019 milestone list. Qupital does not replace the receiving account you paste into Seller Central.

Who it's for

  • Hong Kong-incorporated Amazon / Shopee / Shopify teams clearing about US$50,000+ a month who need inventory or ad cash.
  • China-origin groups willing to set up a Hong Kong company (Qupital says partners can help register) and share API data.
  • Skip it if you have no HK entity and will not open one, if monthly platform revenue is below the published floor, or if you need buyer-risk export factoring (MODIFI) or same-week FBA collection (Payoneer / PingPong).

Concrete use: a Shenzhen brand with a Hong Kong company links Amazon US and Shopify, passes the online audit, takes a 13-instalment facility to pre-stock FBA, and repays from marketplace disbursements. The number that matters is the APR on the offer versus FundPark or a bank line — not the “24-hour funding” headline.

Pricing and value

Our Offer states APR ranges 8–13%, subject to credit assessment, and “shall not exceed limits imposed by applicable law.” That is the only named public band as of 2026-09-06. It is not a guarantee for every file. Assessment in three working days and 24-hour funding after approval are process claims, not prices.

There is no self-serve checkout. Compare the written APR, tenor, and any collection-account arrangement with FundPark. Partnerships: contact@qupital.com; media pr@qupital.com; Hong Kong +852 3152 3210.

Community feedback

English Amazon subreddits rarely name Qupital. Public signal is trade and financial press: Caixin / Nikkei on the US$150 million Series B, Fintech News Hong Kong on later mezzanine capital from Lending Ark (2024), Bloomberg interviews with Andy Chan. Seller-forum “easy/hard to repay” threads are thin, so this page does not invent quotes. Expect KYC on the Hong Kong company, API authorisation, and a money-lender contract.

Competitive positioning

Qupital is Hong Kong marketplace lending. FundPark is the closest peer (also HK-licensed, also shop data; FundPark’s public site does not publish an APR band). MODIFI factors B2B invoices and buyer risk. Linklogis is core-enterprise SCF. Stenn is in administration since December 2024 and is not originating. For getting Amazon paid this week, use Payoneer or PingPong (both have historical partnerships with Qupital).

Alternatives

  • FundPark: Hong Kong ecommerce revolving facilities; no public APR table.
  • MODIFI: Post-shipment B2B invoice advance, not shop GMV lending.
  • Linklogis: Anchor and bank supply-chain finance.
  • Payoneer: Collection first; Capital Advance is a separate, underwritten product.

Limitations

Hong Kong entity and the US$50,000 monthly floor lock out many solo shops. API access is mandatory. APR is a range, not your rate. Investor-side yields are not the seller’s cost. Homepage statistics conflict with older About copy. This is credit: you must repay. Do not pay anyone who is not on qupital.com.

Verdict

Use Qupital if you already sell on Amazon, eBay, Shopee, Lazada, Wish or Shopify through a Hong Kong company and need a data-scored working-capital loan in the published 8–13% APR band. Do not use it as a payout method. Next step: read qupital.com/how-it-works and apply, or email contact@qupital.com; confirm live connectors, APR, and entity rules before you draw.

Data notes

Rechecked 2026-09-06 against qupital.com (home, About, How it works, Our Offer, Contact; licence 378/2026 in the footer). Funded-volume and GMV counters are first-party and unverified; the About page still contains older “500 clients / US$500M” wording. monthlyVisits, domainRating, and authorityScore are inherited catalogue values and unverified. published: 2016-03-01 uses the verified March 2016 founding month; the exact day is unverified. Current APR for a given file must be taken from the offer, not from the 8–13% marketing range alone.
